Fresenius Medical Care North America’s (FMCNA) manufacturing facility in Guadalajara, Mexico, received regulatory approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to manufacture and distribute saline solution (0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection) used in dialysis treatments. The Company has sought FDA approval to meet an increased saline demand in the U.S. The initial production capacity will exceed 5 million liters annually and is expected to increase to more than 20 million liters over the next few years.
